When Swedoor decided to transform its office space into an open landscape, the choice of chairs became crucial. To ensure involvement from the staff, Swedoor formed a working group allowed to test different chair models. Uniformity was important, but also the need for high quality, ergonomics, and durability. After careful evaluation, the choice fell on the Malmstolen Classic 7000, in gray wool fabric without neck and arm support.
Swedoor's employees needed to understand the adjustment options of the Malmstolen well. The training was provided to ensure that employees could adjust the chairs individually on their own for optimal comfort and posture. This has proven to increase productivity and has led to some employees reporting that they feel more energetic at the end of the day.
"In the open office landscape, we see a greater exchange of information. Smooth chair adjustments make it possible to change places sometimes, which we believe creates an increased information exchange," Robin Persson, Project Manager Sales Swedoor.
As a company that prides itself on delivering high-quality, durable products, Swedoor saw value in choosing a work chair that reflected these values. Malmstolen's focus on natural materials and sustainability went hand in hand with Swedoor's pursuit of quality and sustainability.
"We wanted our work environment to reflect what we work with - quality and natural materials. Our furniture goes hand in hand with our company values. We wanted there to be a consistent theme throughout the entire office," explains Robin.
Swedoor has placed great emphasis on the employees feeling the quality and comfort of the company's investments. This has helped to reinforce the pride of being part of the team, and it underscores Swedoor's commitment to investing in its employees.
In conjunction with the introduction of new work chairs, the office has also been upgraded with height-adjustable desks, sound absorbers, and monitors mounted on arms, creating a clean and efficient work environment.
"During the renovation, we focused on the workstations where people sit primarily. We have invested in sustainability and quality to create workstations that hold up," Robin Persson, Project Manager Sales Swedoor.
