News: Adjustable tilt resistance in Active R3
A small adjustment that makes a big difference
Active R3 has now been updated with the possibility of manual fine-tuning of the tilt resistance on chairs produced from week 18, 2026. The same self-balancing and intuitive ergonomics as before – now with even greater possibilities to adapt comfort to each individual user.
The new adjustment makes it easier to tailor the sitting experience to different body types and preferences, especially for users who prefer a lighter or more personally adjusted resistance in the tilt function. The result is an even more flexible chair for both individual workstations and shared environments.
How it works

Turn the adjustment wheel gently to make the tilt function lighter or firmer. Small adjustments are often enough – try approximately ½-1 turn at a time until the chair feels balanced and comfortable.
Left = lighter resistance
Right = firmer resistance
It also works well to sit in the chair while adjusting, so you can feel the difference immediately.
The same Active R3 – with greater precision
Active R3 is still built on our self-balancing User Balanced technology, where the chair automatically adapts to the user. The new function makes it possible to fine-tune the resistance even further when needed.
All other functions remain unchanged. Active R3 keeps its Syncro Active tilt mechanism and simple usability – adjust the seat height and, if needed, the backrest height, and the chair is ready to use.
The result is the same balance between support, pressure relief, relaxation and movement as before – now with even better ergonomic adaptability.
