Growing up along the scenic Bohuslän coast, the Malm brothers took a great interest in nature, even before establishing Malmstolen. Since the very beginning, we have therefore worked proactively to minimize our impact on nature. An early insight was how high quality is related to sustainability. If the products have a long life cycle, there is no reason to replace them. The vision is a sustainable society where our environmental certifications contribute to sustainable consumption. That’s why we have always been able to provide long warranty periods for all of our chairs.

But our responsibility does not end there. We have environmentally certified our entire product range according to the eco-labels Möbelfakta criteria. This certification help you as a company or consumer to choose the best products on the market from an environmental and quality perspective. Through our work, we want to contribute to a positive change. For yourself, for your work environment and for our planet.

  • Möbelfakta

    Möbelfakta’s certification covers Quality, Environment and Social Responsibility. The quality and safety of our chairs are tested in accordance with the current European standard EN1335. The Classic 4000 and 7000 models are also tested and approved according to the toughest test of all - the one for round-the-clock use. Being a socially responsible company is a matter of course for us. These standards follow the UN "Code of Conduct" on human rights.

  • EPD - Norway

    All Malmstolen products are certified to Möbelfakta standards. We're excited to announce the launch of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for our popular Active R3 model. This provides customers with comprehensive details about the product’s composition and its environmental impact throughout its lifecycle. An EPD, which is independently verified, presents precise data on the materials used and their environmental footprint, from extraction to the product's end life. Despite the density of information in an EPD, it's a valuable tool that can help customers make informed and environmentally friendly decisions.

  • Continuous environmental and quality work

    Malmstolen AB is environmentally certified according to 14001-2015, which means that we are continuously working to reduce our environmental impact. We are also ISO 9001-2015 certified, another ongoing task regarding quality in our processes. This is a job that will never be completed, but a challenge that we look forward to with pride.
