Let the body decide when you buy an office chair
There is no chair that suits everyone No two bodies are the same, and different work tasks may mean completely different opportunities for movement and sound ergonomics. The Malmstolen design is based on this knowledge. Where other work chairs force the body to adjust itself, the Malmstolen chair does quite the opposite.
Unique self-shaping backrest
There is a setting system inside the zipper on the rear of the backrest. It consists of four adjustable elastic straps around a plastic shell. On delivery these straps are set in a very carefully calculated neutral position. Thanks to the elasticity of the straps, the backrest shapes itself to suit the user's natural back profile and in so doing provides a very large contact surface. This default setting suits 70-80 % of the population.
For people who are outside of this normal variation, for example people with a very deep lumbar region, there is the option of fine-adjusting the straps. As a result, the profile of the backrest can be individually adjusted to provide the optimum support and relief.
When users are given the option of testing ergonomic work chairs in their own work environment, 77 % of people choose the Malmstolen. There is a reason for this! The Malmstolen chair is designed with a single purpose in mind; to work when you work. The Malmstolen chair must promote good health by preventing and alleviating musculoskeletal disorders. To achieve this we are continually looking to develop ergonomic office chairs that offer exceptionally good possibilities for individual customisation.
Malmstolen's models come with two back heights.
MEDIUM: Provides support from the lumbar region up to around the middle of the shoulder blades.
HIGH: Provides support from the lumbar region up to the upper areas of the shoulder blades. Can be fitted with headrest.
Both the high and medium-high backrest have four setting straps for fine adjustment of the support and depth of lumbar. |
